The Early French GUYMONs
"The first recorded Guymon family, Estienne and Jeanne Thomas Guymon.
Their Son: Rollande Guymon
Christened: 24 Sep 1618
in Ille-Et-Vilaine, Plelan-Le-Grand, France.
Rollande had a Son Surname of Guymon that I haven't
been able to get further information on."
The information quoted above came from a
website (Ken Stone's Page)
I discovered one day. I would like to have references for this information.
Speculation
Assuming an average age of 22 for the birth of children per generation,
Estienne and Jeanne would have been born about 1596.
Rollande Guymon was reportedly born in ............1618.
-------- Guymon could have been born about ....1640.
-------- Guymon could have been born about ....1662.
-------- Guymon could have been born about ....1684.
-------- Guymon could have been born about ....1706.
-------- Guymon could have been born about ....1728.
-------- Guymon could have been born about ....1750.
Isaiah Guymon was reportedly born 1753.
If they were related, that could make Estienne and Jeanne Thomas Guymon
Isaiah's great-great-great-great-great-grandparents
Interesting speculation, even if we have no proof.
If someone can cite references for any of this information, I would appreciate
that information being mailed to me. I will be glad to post the references here for all
to use. Right now, this is posted for speculation, and hopefully we will one day learn where the Guymon name came from, with proof.
