A Place to Be

On the seawall, early in the day,
One can see a great variety.
People, animals, and others at play,
It's the right kind of place to be.

Walkers wander up and down,
Looking, talking, drifting free.
Come from here and out of town,
What a wonderful place to be.

Some on wheels, some on skates,
Roaming sidewalks just as free.
Reflecting on their loves and hates,
A place that I could always be.

Along the wall beside the sea,
It's the right kind of place to be.
Just by the sea, simple and free.
